The fried pork in pot is very good, the dumplings are delicious, the shredded sweet potatoes are also good and children love them. The braised pork is a bit salty, and the pig intestines are just average, and it feels a bit lacking in flavor. The service is very good and enthusiastic, and the environment is also very good.

I brought a friend from Northeast China who is very picky to taste the Dadongfang. We specifically ordered the basic pot-wrapped pork, three fresh meat, braised chicken bones and large rice noodles. Except that the large rice noodles were a bit hard, the others were very authentic. First of all, I have eaten a lot of pot-wrapped pork. Some restaurants either have too thick paste to chew, or the sauce tastes too sour or too sweet. This one just takes a bite and it falls apart. The taste is just right and it is not hard to eat. Some restaurants give me a headache. The braised chicken bones, my friend said it tastes the same as her mother's. Even if she brings her mother to eat it in person, she will say it is very authentic. I rarely eat dumplings outside. One of the things that Dadongfang does very well is that the plate for the dumplings has a filter layer. I heard from my friends that when they went to restaurants when they were young, they would move the plate from time to time to prevent the dumplings from sticking. As a Cantonese, I don't know these details. Another point is that the service in the restaurant is very considerate. We arrived at the restaurant around 11:40, but there was only one chef at the time. He asked us to wait a little. Although there were vacancies, we were not seated immediately because we didn't want to wait for a long time after ordering the dishes and affect our meal. The dining experience in the restaurant is really good. Having said so much, I am really attracted by it. I want to order fried liver and braised pork slices next time.
